Girl Friends Are Amazing And This Is Why

It’s not typical of me to write two posts in one day but after yesterday’s Venice Beach adventures with my girl Natasha, I just had to get this off my chest.

There is no relationship like the one you have with your girl friends. I don’t just mean a great friend. I’m talking vaginas to the wall, everything goes, no holding back, no judgement on the drunken slam sesh last night kind of friendship. You never know where the conversation is going to go and when it gets there, the filter that you didn’t have continues to be nonexistent. Sure I feel bad when I’m in a restaurant talking about vagina flashing with a little boy at the table behind us but sometimes the mimosa just takes over. Again, no filter.

Our day on the boardwalk was perfect. Not too hot, plenty of crazies to watch, laughing like we were the funniest people we know and a random piercing adventure. Oh did I mention our Texas-based piercer said totes, adorebs, and foshtotes like a true valley girl? It was amazing! Ok so we talked about all the girly shit, obviously, but when it came to being serious, this weeks topic came up. Taking care of yourself. Whether you choose to do so by changing your eating habits or going to therapy, you are the only one who can make the biggest impact. That’s the answer…YOU! Forming that relationship, working on it and perfecting it is how we become the true person we are meant to be.

I’m really excited to share with you ways I’ve experienced self caring through health & fitness, fashion, travel and relationships. Don’t worry it’s not all serious talk. It’s me. Over-the-top and inappropriate sentences will appear. Check back tomorrow and see the goodies I picked up for my fitness journey.

  1. I love my girlfriends! Its a small circle but I definitely know what you mean. I don’t know if you’ve written yet, the post about self care (on my way to check). But I’m definitely excited to read!

    1. Hi,

Thank you for reading. Small circle or big circle, it’s the bond you have that matters, not the quantity of girls. I love hearing when other women have the same. Girl time is the best time. And yes, I posted the first post for the week on taking care of yourself.

Thank you again for your comment :).
